Belen Sarwacinski, FNPc
My name is Belen Sarwacinski, FNPc, and I am a native of Costa Rica, Central America. I graduated from San Diego State University in 1983 and was subsequently commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy the same year.
I served 4.5 years of active duty as a staff nurse at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. After my active duty, I joined the United States Naval Reserve (USNR) from November 1987 until my retirement in January 2012, achieving the rank of Captain (CAPT).
During my service, I received several awards, including one Meritorious Service Medal, three Navy Commendation Medals, one Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, as well as the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal.
I earned a Master of Science in Nursing in 1999 from the University of Phoenix and a Post-Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of California School of Medicine in 2000.
I possess extensive knowledge in various areas of nursing, including neonatal intensive care, admission nursery, pediatrics, oncology, internal medicine, urology, neurology, and case management.
I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 23 years.
