Arneta Finney, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, DAPWHc, CNL, PHN, WCC, WOCN, LPHA
Dr. Arneta Finney is the Project Director at the Dr. Gloria j. McNeal Nurse Managed Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. She serves as the Co-Principal Investigator for the HRSA-funded mobile health training program, which received $4 million over four years. This program aims to enhance the nursing workforce and deliver primary care services to vulnerable populations.
To date, Dr. Finney has provided services to over 900 patients in the San Diego and Los Angeles areas. Her clinical practice focuses on primary care and prevention.
Dr. Finney completed her post-master's certificate training as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Charles R. Drew University School of Medicine and Science. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a focus on education from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, California, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Finney is nationally certified as an advanced practice nurse practitioner, allowing her to practice independently in California without the need for a collaborating physician. She also holds national certification in advanced wound care, enabling her to provide specialized treatments for wounds and skin care.
Dr. Finney has received numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional clinical practice and dedication to the nursing profession, including the Edge Runner Award from the American Academy of Nursing. She has been instrumental in modernizing national universities with virtual simulations by providing online training to faculty and students in simulated settings designed to support person-centered care.
